We have available a rare late 80s 9000 series Japanese made fusion sized (10″, 12″, 14″, 20″) shell pack.  The 14″ floor tom is stand mounted, as was typical from this period. This is well known as the most recorded drum kit in history and is available in Steve Gadd black.  It sounds fantastic, everything you would expect from a Recording Custom kit from this period!

Overall the drum kit is in very good condition and all the hardware (lugs, tension rods, mounts etc) is original.

The shells are in very good condition for their age, with only some very slight marks.  The bearing edges are immaculate throughout.  The chrome is generally in very good condition for its age though has slight pitting on the rims if you look closely and the bass drum claws show some wear, as can be seen from photos.

The rims are generally very good (there are slight knocks on the batter side rim as can be seen from the photos.  Also when the claws are removed from the bass drum rim there are slight marks where the claw has been – they are not visible when lined up with the claws.

The toms have Evans G2 heads which show signs of usage.  The toms’ resonant heads and the bass drum batter head are original.  The ‘Yamaha’-branded bass drum resonant head is original (it has had a sticker at some point which means there is slightly variation in light reflectance off its surface).

The bass drum batter head is fitted with a Remo muffler.

The kit comes with a Le Blond Bass drum case and a tom case for all 3 toms with padded dividers.
